What we collect

When you open Unsaid, your browser gets a random anonymous session id. We don't ask for your name, email, or phone number, and we don't use advertising trackers.

When you share a confession, we store its words, the time, and your anonymous session id. The id is never shown to anyone. We use it to limit how often one person can post and so you don't see your own confessions on the wall.

When you hug, heart, or report a confession, we store that action with your anonymous session id.

What "let it go" does

When you let a confession go, its text is sent once to our AI provider (Anthropic) to write a short line of comfort for you, then discarded. We never save the words. We only record the time of the request, to prevent abuse, and delete that record within a couple of hours.

Screening and comfort lines

Before a confession is posted, its text is sent to Anthropic to check for content that isn't allowed, such as threats or details identifying a real person, and to write a short line of comfort shown only to you. If a confession is rejected, we don't store it.

Service providers

Unsaid is hosted on Vercel, stores data with Supabase, and screens posts with Anthropic. They process data only to run the service.

Removing a confession

Because confessions are anonymous, we can't verify who wrote one. If you need a confession removed, report it from the wall or email us with its exact text.
